    KB45 cable size

    I'm building a 40" mono hull with either a KB45 8xl or 10XL 6s - 8s lipos and wondering if .150 cable will be enough.
I've got the floor reinforced with 5.7oz carbon fiber ,transom drilled and waiting for the motor mount from Lonewolf so I can install stringers. I just need to decide which cable to go with and find a source with it and a 6mm motor coupler in stock.

    thanks in advance

    I ran the KB45 10XL on 8s and a .150 cable with no problems.

My recomendation would be a 3/16 cable for any hull over 3 ft.... unless runnning twins then the load would be 1/2 per cable.

That alot of torque and hull. I am useing 3/16 in my 37 in mono build. The price is essentially he same so why not upgrade...And play it safe???
