    Scale model V-Drives and such..

Is anyone offering a 1/6 scale V-Drive for scale mono hulls ??? I found two in a hobby store( My Hobby Shop) in Southern California back in 1971 while stationed in the Air Force. These were made in a two part cast casing with steel gears and had dog ears on each side for mounting. I still have one mounted in a scale Sanger Flat Bottom I had built from wood and a molded lower hull of fiber glass . Originally it was going to have a small Kraft radio set up , K&B 40 rear rotor engine. Along with some Marine Specialties fins, rudder and prop strut it looks great , just too heavy .
I've seen some on the internet and wonder just how efficient they may be for some thing in a 1/6 scale???

Just keep in mind that there suited to lower rpm setups and won't handle 30000rpm plus for very long. If you search drag boats you'll find a recent build that found that out rather quickly.
