Boat is a Drifter S with a REK lower unit running a 11L 3s1p I am using the stock SV speed control for the esc. It has not seen water yet with the new setup. I used too run a 9xl on 4s1p with a hydra 120 and it flew.... Prop will be a x438/3 I like too change my setups around too make it interesting... Test run will be today in a large pool before it hits the lake. Not sure what too expect for speed on this setup but I think the hull looks KOOL with the outboard... Comments welcome...

huuummmmm.... Not happy how the boat runs in the corners..... With my old inboard setup, the drifter use too corner very well.. It wants too roll over in the corners even at a nominal speed. ??? I played with the outboard motor position and center of gravity, not mutch help. I never had an outboard setup before. I think there is a trick too setting them up too run well. Not having mutch luck...Back too the drawing board.. I know the Drifter S hull runs very well, the problem is with the setup?????Comment

How much lower can you go on the outboard placement?
On the EP 1's by Aquacraft they diagram the ride plate even with the bottom of the hull/sponsons!
It looks like you might be able to go a little lower!
This is my Mean Machine with twin EP 1's on it and it turns pretty nice! It has 19 turn motors in them! Not real fast.(low 20's) If I can find some more play money I may order 2 of the new Graupner brushless units for this winters upgrade!
But it's the cool factor I love!

That's an old picture with the motors placed in the center! This past winter I moved them outboard on the sponsons and found a little better turning and a little more speed!We did it with a Bang!
