    Dana.
Really great results for all your efforts.
In your redesigning, have you thought about the sponson depth of the starboard sponson.
My Starfighter Canard (and many others) has that sponson 10mm deeper than the port sponson. It makes the turns so much faster.
    Just a thought.

10mm? Hmmm I'll keep that in mind, there's still time to do that . Thanks for your feedback.

My boat is only 37" long, so at 46-1/2" long, yours might need to be a little bit deeper.
You could simply make a thick ride pad, & use double sided tape to hold it on for testing first. Just to see if it makes a difference before you go hacking into the original sponson.

The new design is only 43" long now . I'll probably leave the sponsons like they are. I figure if people want to add material to the right sponson it would be easier to add then to remove.

I tested the canard on Saturday and it had great results. It turned amazingly fast and had great speed but I noticed the front pad was riding slightly wet even after giving the prop 1/4" positive angle up. I added a small wing up front instead of adding material under the front pad. That helped a lot. At full throttle the front pad is off the water. Here is a short video of the first run before the added front wing.

What is the Size of this hull again??

Looks like a lot of fun.

What prop are you running on it?

It's 43" long. "Typical gas prop"

I'm running a 472 prop right now but will be trying a 572 next.

If it's driving the nose down, as you've mentioned and as the video shows, you may want to look into the ABC 17-degree or other high-rake props. They have considerably less lift and will really lighten up the nose.

72mm ~= 2.8", and if you are leaning towards an X572, that's 1.5 Pitch Ratio, so something like an ABC 2814-16-60(2) CLL, etc., might be interesting... Something worth looking into.

For what it's worth, on my Cheetah, it was almost undrivable do to the front end running wet regardless of how I adjusted the strut. Swapped to a pair of ABC 1715-17-45(2) props and it ran like it should. Was ballistic.

It was a CG issue. I moved the engine back 1" and put my CG at 12 1/2" forward of the transom and it runs great. Very fast and handles the corners like it's on rails.
