The entrance of the tunnel on the temporary mold was warped and my tunnel bottom was flat. I raised the front of the tunnel 1/4 of an inch it was tapered back to zero in 8.5 inches. I think this will make a big difference in the only problem on the hull on race day.

Video of first test P Open Sport Hydro. Boat is not right yet but good. The entrance to tunnel is too low and causes some problems. that is what a test mule is all about. Now I can make changes to the mold and have a real winner.

No, it is on the bottom. I was running just a little too hard it took a few bad hops and landed nose down. I usually put two tape strips on the front of the deck. This time I forgot and put only one. I did not check the flotation either. too many mistakes, I will get it back need to troll with the fish finder.

Damn Randy that sucks, well the Orange Crush boat met the same fate. I sold it to a club member and he had it out for the first time last weekend, it was runnung real nice but we had some gusty conditiions and he blew it over. It was floating upside down just fine, then all the sudden it went down in the matter of a couple seconds. We figure one of the hatches came untapped, I know where it went down, we gotta get some stuff to drag the area.

I have changed the entrance to the tunnel and built new molds. I will be laying up a new boat this week. Pictures to follow.

I set up this boat to have the batteries in the sponsons with out hatches. I also built the hatch extra heavy so it can not flex and pop off. I will have the first test runs this weekend. I just need to see how much flotation it takes to float 8.8 pounds.

I love the fact that you can get the batts up there without the hatches.

I ran the boat this weekend. It had only been ran once in open water that morning. I did not get a start first heat race out of sequence set up on Swordfish. The next three heats I got first place and win the class for the day. I can slide up to 5000Mah 4S packs in each side and I put a thin piece of foam to hold in place. works nice I have a little dial in to do but the new mold is all most flaw less. The molds are for testing and still not the final molds for production, but much better than the first test mold.
