did you get you esc working?
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

No, I took it apart and nothing, Looks like a fet is cracked. I did however find them from the same ebay guy, for like 11.50 shipped. So I am going to buy another one before I can't get them anymore as I think they need to match.

      Any progress on yours?

I stripped mine down to be ready for my dad to finish the body work.

The flex in the cables at the coupler really bug me!!! They seemed to work good though.

I've done nothing more on mine yet but you and jesse have me pretty fired up.

Cool, hope to see some progress!!!

I just ordered a new esc for $11.50. If I get one that fails again, I may just step up to a better controller.

Nice work Ace, I, on the other hand was pretty impressed with the speeds of your killer twin cat! Good vid too. I have had cats jump out of the hole onto their backs, impressive but not exactly my main goal. I really like your set up and am also keen on my next build - twins are too KOOOOOL. Keep an eye on the temps of your flex shafts, I suspect that could be a weak point in this build, but with proper lube and a watchful eye, could turn out to not be much of a prob.

Great work, keep the documentation going! Oh, do yourself a favor and sharpen and balance those bad boyz, I can't believe the difference in raw vs s/b props.

His props were fresh out of the package as was everything else, This run was to see how everything worked before I paint it we worked very hard on all the electrics the night before (until 11:30 pm) and we worked all that day mounting the servo and figuring out where everything was going to go, A good sharpening, polishing and a balance is next for the props,
And John Do I have to say it? You know what has to be done you have most of the stuff. Rah, Rah, Sispum, Baugh, you have just been cheer leaded, (but you wouldn't like to see me in a skirt)

Thanks jesse, I will have to invest in a temp gun for the cables. I think the pic makes them look worse then they really do, but they are something I won't neglect when it comes to maintenance. A paint job will definatly give this cat a new attitude, along with some tuning and prop work.

because this is so popular .. lets make a build challenge out of it.
Eyekandy, how can I get hold of the CAD files for that 31" cat of yours? I have access to a laser cutter...

the laser cut parts are not the parts that take the time. it is the body work that sucks

I have to agree about the body work, that is why I left it for my dad to finish lol jk.

It was a sad day yesterday, I took all my rc stuff to my dads house for him to keep a eye on. I am leaving monday, hope you guys keep the motivation high, and hopefully my dad will finish the body and paint work on it for me and keep this thread updated. When I return we will try to get more speed out of it.

Is there a remedy for rc addiction withdraws?

Your probably right about not having the time, but hopefully I will have time once I'm at a permant base.

Just watched the vid again, I think it really was running wet, inside and out. Man twin props just sounds cool!!!
