    Where to mount motor

I am building one of these now.
I need to know where to mount the motor.
Mine has been mounted toward the back.
Why is yours so far foward.
Photo's are from the man i bought the boat from.
I am redoing it and have the inside all cleaned out except for the motor mounts.
    Thanks from Greg

that may work if,you're running Nimh cells...I suspect that you'll want to move it forward some if you wish to use Lipos.
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

As posted this is my very first build / boat. I dug around quite a bit , too much infact to the point I was confused more so than usual. I asked these very same questions here and Dr. Jet gave me excellent info & pic's on how to set & place things. Many others pointed me in the right direction also. All that info is in this thread twards the start.I set mine up as close to his as I could tell by the pic's & it is working out great thus far. I had it running smooth and leveling off nice with the XL9 motor & graupner carbon 43 prop. I swapped out the motor to an XL8 and it made a huge speed jump and now it's "bouncy" and unstable at WOT. I'm still playing the battery location game & prop pitch / angle thing to get it more steady. It seems like if you mess with the battery location you have to change the pitch of the prop to comp for the weight shift. It's gonna be a guessing game from here on in till I get lucky but I found out a bad day on the water is far better than a good day on the dirt track (had to take a few dips for recovery )
