Dual motors setup I'm just trying to figure out the best setup right I purchase the Hull but I don't have it yet.
I heard that the 72 hull will need really good electronics to move well so I'm feeling out and taking every input I can so I can make the right purchase. Thanks for your input.

Not many have built and run a boat so large. A fellow did the giant radtech HPR on here not long ago. You should contact him, he's done a couple really big ones.

The guy I was thinking of was xcesive8. He did a 92" HPR 223/ Radtech 92". He did an incredible job and used some really nice stuff. Lots to look at for ideas as well.

I would ask keith Bradley, he has built this exact hull. Like I said I was looking at building it, but the power needed, even if you went with 2028s, the batteries required is a small fortune. It would be fun as an electric but unless you have A couple grand to throw on lehners and mgm controllers, that's what's needed to really make it move properly. I'd go with gas, that's how I'm going to build mine.

The battery cost makes me cringe. If you check out the German forums the guys are making up these massive carbon fiber battery cages. There very cool looking, all the batteries wired together with a printer port plug for balance charging. I wish I new where to get the big bulkhead fitting for the main battery supply. They really like them big over there.

Subscribed Really like the BIG builds. What would be really over the top, being able to see a heat full of these bad boys running together.

You dont need 12s for a twin setup, as noted already 10s is sufficient. If you want to go 12s the 950kv is too high, look in the 700 range.

Glad to see parts coming in. What's your budget for this build w/o lipos? The thought of having a 6 feet boat is awesome but I'm sure the cost is overwhelming, not to mention transporting that beast. Definitely a different league once you get past the 48" mark.

I really don't have a budget I just buy parts as I go. I still don't have motor mounts, servo mounts and a few more thing, I'm also thinking of having it wrap instead of brush painting it.

Here.. Swordfish 300 + Leopard 56110 (780kv). I really want the boat for long run times no for extreme speed, just fast enough.

as for the servo question, id look at doing 2 high torque servos or even 1/4 scale. youre gonna need a lot of torque to turn that beast. look forward to seeing how this comes out....im still itching to get one.
