Darin's TFL HOBBY 34" Carbon Cheetah Build

Just received a much anticipated winter project. Thanks to TFL HOBBY Manufacturer, I'll be building up this beautiful new all carbon Cheetah 34" Catamaran. This one will be my first twin power system build.

My first impression? ?? SWEET! This boat looks and feels amazing!

I won't be starting it for a couple of weeks, but figured I'd start sharing some pics.

This hull and the associated bits that came with it are as nice as I've seen. I'm really looking forward to getting this going.

This will be built up as a twin for P-Cat and maybe P-Offshore.

Hull is LARGE and currently 34.25". Sponson tips will have to get trimmed.

Empty weight is right at 3 lbs 7oz...

DARIN, that looks so sweet, can't wait to follow your build! I am now in fact in love with the look of this hull.
I also like the fact that one can use aluminum mount as opposed to the fancy cf mount.
Too many boats, not enough time...

O yes this is a fine hull. No wah wah wah either. Your going to fall in love when you drive it. They like about a 6" rudder and it will handle like it's on rails.

Nice ! .... I'm going to use those same style aluminum motor mounts in my twin Fantasm. Darin thats going to be a fast and sweet handling boat..My buddies single FG Cheetah is a screamer on 6S so yours is going to be something to truly have to contend with at the races.... DJ

Subbed, I'd love to do the exact same build.

              Darin are those 36x74mm motors?

PS, thanks for posting the weight!

I've got a Carbon/Kevlar one and I love it. Set up twin with TP4060 1450kv on 6s, what a nice boat to run. One of my favs

I happen to know a guy who makes sweet windshields for these boats.
One day I'll build mine until then I'll watch Darin build his!

                        Darin,
Have you seen the run video of my twin Cheetah?

I'm not sure. I saw one from a few of this from Australia, and they looked really good.

I'm actually trying to avoid looking at other people's builds, etc. at this point. I'd like to figure some of this out on my own and see what I can come up with. I've already seen one thing on the hull I'd like to modify. More to come on that.

I agree, I'd rather see what Darin does to trick out his build before I ever even think of getting one.

TFL sent this as an entire kit... Hull, hardware (twin stingers), rudder assembly, internal plate for servo mounting, etc...

It's truly an AMAZING package, and I'm extra impressed with the quality of all of this.

Like I said, I won't be able to get to building if for a few weeks, but I am certainly looking forward to starting it...
