Unlimeted Hydroplane CT 10 by cervelo and CT 13 by mudl

Hey Mudl, I have looked at the CT hulls and researched them for a long time, ive always been fascinated with the builds done over there! I have so many questions, but if you could answer any of them id really appreciate it :)

I notice the hulls appear to be carbon fiber, but how is it they have a gelcoat? I thought epoxy does not adhere to gelcoat? What material did Chris use to make his plug? Also, where do most of the guys driving the CT10 hulls get their running hardware? I really love the strut and turn fin setups you guys use, they look amazing. None of the 1/8 scale racers here use carbon fiber turn fins, how do you get yours sharp enough? Do you know what your boats weigh RTR?

a few more shots... Man these hydros are amazing, and although they arent along the same lines in terms of scale accuracy compared to the 1/8 scale racers we have here in the states, they absolutely mimic the full size boats in other aspects to a T! Especially the hardware and just the overall ride on the water!

and man that twin wing is one beautiful hull! To think that is constructed entirely from CF too underneath? WOW

CT boats that are carbon I don't think they use gelcoat. I know Craig Bradshaw doesn't unless he has changed recently. One other 1/10 th scale guy is making a couple of hull styles not sure if he uses gel coat or not. There are still a good number of wood over foam boats being built also

Thats the assumption I was always under but I heard from a couple people that over in their country they have access to a few paints and pigments they use for the gelcoat that isnt available here in the States for environmental reasons or something like that. This has been something ive been curious about for a long time, and due to the language barrier among other things, its hard for me to get information when I talk to some of these guys (or attempt to)

but im pretty sure this isnt just a really nicely done inlay

the hulls are mostley in Carbon with white gelcoat.
To get Hardware is not so easy
mostley the Hardware is selfmade

Hello, how large should turnfin for hydroplanes in the scale of 1/10. Could someone recommend dimensions? And what is the angle turnfin store? I write through the translator, I hope you understand.
