BBY Central RC Marine 53 build

Just building all the hardware at his point. It will be a twin Turnegy Aquastar 8S2P X447 props. I am trying out the YEP 120 HV ESC on this build.

Installed bulkheads or dubbers for the struts and rudder. I installed the struts. I am going to run a 50MM prop. 1/4 shafts stepped down to 3/16.

Motor mounts set up ready to install tomorrow.

Thanks, I like to do it my way and have as good or better results. I have been dabbling in Gas a bit lately it is nice to put FE in a big boat.

I am really liking the way these motor mounts went in. I will be working on this boat after it is all said and done any way. It is a for a god friend on mine and I always work on his boats.

That's lookin great Randy, as you know I like my large FE boats too, I've got a couple 4' plus. Put that thing on 10s and let it eat!

Randy, I like it. What was your reason for going with struts instead of stingers ? I couldnt tell from pics, but can you adjust AOA still and depth ? I'm building a twin Fantasm and using struts sure would be easier and less expensive than stingers... DJ

I build most of what I put in to my builds (if it is not supplied), I hate to be a "sheep". I don't do what every one else does I like to think of my self as in innovator.
I got a little done on the boat today I hope to be in the water Friday.

Is this the standard light layup hull? How's the quality and strength? Looks like you're not planning to add any CF reinforcement?

I think It was a gas lay up. It was a friends and has been sitting in my shop for a long while. It seams strong enough.

I had that thought also, but I am on a tight budget on this build. It is cool thought though.
