A new Villain IV w/ an old skool twist ...

Hello everybody ,

I know I put my boats on the back burner so to speak, In lieu of ridin' season, but I put a Lil' time in and got my mean machine ready for the water, and i also got a start on the Villain IV I picked up not long ago......

As you can see, she's the cleanest unmolested Villain IV I've found yet. This however makes it hard to add floatation unless I drill holes to pour in 2 part foam. I laid my hands on a pair of Trinity speed gems 2 "platinum" , 13t triple wind mills. They're 33,100 rpm but idk if that's @ 7.2v or 8.4v ??. Either way its going to. fly on 4s power.

I also Installed an astroflight 207D ESC to push them, and a 2.4 spekky Rx w/ antenna for control. I t is an Opto so I will upgrade the servo and run a 6v Rx pack.
I also added flooring up front for more scale detail, as well as the trick unlimited class spoiler that sets the look off. So far I am off to a slow but good start with this one

I am working on one for a customer too. I am just putting in water cooling and removing the Tamiya Plugs. The Traxxas plugs will be used. I have seen this boat with some light up grades cruse at 36MPH. Much more and it is beyond it capabilities.

Villains are a lot of fun. They're sweet spot seems to be 35-40 mph, not to shabby for a 1987' nicad design . Here's my other villain iv I built recently. Twin hpi gt-550 mills, octura 447's,astro flight 212d ESC, 5.5mm connectors on 4s...
