That would do it..They state run them to thin the grease they come with till they spin free.

Why would you associate a motor with a company that doesn't sell them?

Tfl makes fightercat hulls and some hardware. They also make the sss motors....it was to clarify it's not a tp motor as there seems to be some confusion.

Edit. I was told sss motors aren't made by tfl. Honestly I don't care who makes them. Tfl sells them and they are a decent motor. That's all that matters to me.

I've not heard anything bad about SSS motors, I beat the crap out of the one that came stock in my Genesis and it's still running..

That was the reason I went with it. I read a bunch of (and talked to people) failures on the big can tp motors. I wanted a big motor to be different. I haven't seen a fantasm powered by a big single yet so that's my reason.

Where you from? Los Angeles or Louisiana? I just got back from the lake...83.3mph is where my rivercat is at now. I haven't started on the fantasm too much yet cuz I'm building a rivercat for a guy on here and I'm tinkering with mine. I'm trying to get 90 out of it...maybe more so it's requiring my attention and $$ right now. The fantasm I want at least 80 mph out of it. Maybe more. The setup I'm trying first may or may not do it.....but they do sell better motors and esc's so I'm not worried about it. Lol.

Should be an interesting build. There were a couple guys on this forum that came in and out of the hobby in about a year. One of them built a Fantasm with a 5692. That's the only one I can think of:

I might have a motor for you soon for sale. Let me test this 1521 in it..if it does a little better I'll buy a new one and sell my 1518 1800kv. It's a solid motor on 6s

I'm not sure what to say about that video lol. I'm not sure if he was on it....he didn't have much room. Looked like slow motion compared to what I'm used to seeing at this point lol. I'm sure I can wring more out of it. Be an interesting experiment. Does not matter, the mouth will be swappable anyway.

Btw, at least when he flipped it, it was easily retrieve able. Lmao!

Just watched it again. He said he had a leopard 5692...I guess it's close enough but I do want to point out that from what I've seen...the sss motor looks a little nicer quality in its build. The winds look lice and the rotor is wrapped like a castle motor.

I think this build is going to be on hold for a bit. When the cheetah hull came in......well you already know what I'm gonna say......lol
