Thanks! I'm getting excited just waiting for parts. The esc came in last friday but i've been pondering using bullet connectors instead of soldering the motor directly to it since i kinda want to upgrade to a castle 2200kv later. I have ordered everything but the Batteries!! getting so close. Will definitely be running 4s in parallel so that i can have great runtime and keep it in the water so it doesnt cavitate at 20 mph... lol But this wasnt meant to be a speed demon, just to run some rapids and have fun making it! I think i may go EC5 on battery connectors so that i can get a parallel adapter from a friend who has some which would save waiting time :D

The wrap looks killer on there! Coolest spartan I have seen. Can't wait for some video.

Lol thanks guys! Yea i should get it up and running by the 25th since i'll be going camping by the river then! I got nearly everything done but soldering and positioning the motor correctly... Trying to position something at 5* and trying to mod the mount without a dremel is fairly difficult...

Man that looks great the only thing I see is your steering link might be a issue because of the sharp bends, maybe too much flex. Run it and see what happens, it might work fine.

haven't read every post yet and i hate to be that guy but you should have considered twin jets, the spartan is a big boat for that little drive, nice as it is. hope it turns out to be a fun runner.

Lol yea twin jets wouldve been nice if they'd fit with the batteries not being all the way forward but i dont think they will. That and i will most likely cavitate at alot less. I also heard that at 20,000 rpm, a jetsprint boat was able to reach 30mph so with mine being heavier and sitting deeper, it may reach around 35 mph with 28,000 rpm. I just gotta get the trim right.
Yea I'm ok with the sharp bends of the steering linkage for. I tested it and it did fine. My issue is the steering arm can be fragile if too much force is applied (like running and weeds catch it....) If it does break, i will cut down some CF and epoxy that on to steer.
