    DF33 speed

For those of you that are running the DF33 with a Neu 1515 1Y on 4s2p I have a couple of questions. What kind of speed are getting? With what prop? How many amps are you pulling?

I was figuring mid fifties and about 180 amps with a x642. Low fifties/high forties and 125 amps with a x442. Is that in the ballpark?

I can tell you that the 1515 1Y in my Sport hydro is slow with a 442 prop. It comes to life with a 445 though. It seems the 1515 really likes the larger diameter props. Even with the 445 prop my hull isn't pulling over 125 amps.

      Is that a x445 or a m445?

I would also be interested to know what props people are using and what speeds they are getting. I just ordered a neu 1515 1y to replace the 9xl in my DF33. I have a few props to try, x440 x442 x637 m445 x640

I run a M445 prop but to be fair its a different hull type.

I'm running that set up on 4S1P, and a detongued X442. I would estimate high 40s, and less than 125 amps (running an uncooled Barra 125 and it is only warm after a race).

I tried a detongued X642 and it didn't seem any faster, so I went back to the 442. But I didn't spend much time tuning it with the 642.

Going to try an M445 this weekend if the water is good.

Both Doug Smock and I run DF33's, 4S2P, 1515 1Y turning DT x640. Speed low 50's, amp draw less than 100.

Thanks for the help. Doug and Casey know I need all I can get.
