    1/10th hydro question

I will post picture of two soon...but I must ask, where can you find a 1/10 strut for a scale hydro a-la e-rcu or classicthunderboat rules? If one does not exist, can someone out there recommend or put together a hardware kit for me? Hull is almost done, sloppy job, but it will do (first timer). I assume the strut bottom is even with sponson bottoms in setups? Wire or cable drive? I have a T600 1400kv outrunner, a 1650kv inrunner and a 2030kv inrunner laying around. Which to use?? Any advise would be great! Thanks. Steve

    Steve,

Most people just use a standard Speedmaster 21 sized strut and bracket, and mount it "backwards" on the inside of the boat (brackets facing forward on the transom)... Then cut a slot in the bottom to slide the strut up through and into the bracket. You can seal it with some clear silicone, though some build a "wet-well" with a tape-on cover.
