    54'' Aquacraft hull conversion Build

So 14 mounths ago I decided to buy a rc boat for the first time. and not knowing anything bought big turd that I got off of ebay for 195.00 and yanked the frozen motor and used some marvel mistry oil and got it moving. I sold the motor and tankand pipe on ebay for 85.00 so I'm into the boat cheap. The first week I got the hull patched up and painted and then made a home made mount. I bought some chaep HK motr for it and went thought 3 of them and one esc. It went on a shelf and a mounth later I bought a Zonda.
Well the zonda is running and it is fast.
So now I'm dusting off the first boat that I never got running right.
So the new parts going in will be Bigger! the esc is a swordfish Pro 200 and the motor is a PROTUES X520 SERIES BRUSHLESS MOTOR That will be running of a 8s Nanotech 65c lipo. The prop is a 6717/3 alumnium piece I shaped and balanced.

Using duct Tape I covered the large hole and fiber glassed the inside to make the repair.

So now that we are up to speed I have the new motoer and esc and servo mount in place today and plan on running the boat for the first time in over a year when I first bought it.

If I get 50 mph I will be very pleased!

Looking good. I love that hull. I'm curious to see how she behaves in ruff water

It's awesome in ruff water! If I'm lucky I will hit 60 mph. I figure 50 to55 though. I will have about 450.00 dollars it to everything on this boat including the lipos! Not bad for a large hull.

Sick!! It looks great on the water. Is that a scale boat of a real offshore racing boat back in the day that was sponsored by Volvo?

I'm surprised that more of these hulls are not converted to brushless. They need the big power and also the weight of the lipos in the back of the hull gets it riding better. I like this Batman hull. It should get a lot of looks when I put it in the lake!
