Dave, you need to get your Vern Kilmer boat done. We'll put both of them out on the lake and take some pics and send them to Vern, he'd like that! Have you ever talked to him? He seems like a pretty cool guy, he deffinetly knows what he's doing with Metal Flake in Gel Coat!! It looks as good as any 1 to 1 Metal Flake boat I've ever seen...

I bet that would put a smile on Verns face and be cool, your 48" V and my 58" cat in a pic. It will be a while for mine as my cnc is down and can`t make the parts I need. I did talk to Vern a few years back and seemed lake a nice guy.

        Maiden Voyage Video!!!

Got her done and Bill shot this video at our club meet Sunday. It ran pretty good for it's maiden, I never really got it stretched out then it decided to spit the prop off! I had a whole evening in that Prather 250 and it seemed to work nice on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBtL...ature=youtu.be

Nice build. Do you know what your running weight totaled and prop size? I have a build on the forum of a similar size boat running leopard 56110 640kv 12s 300a hifi and 4 X 4400 6s packs run in series parallel she weighs in at 19 lbs fully loaded rtr. Just wondering if I made her too heavy.

No it's not too heavy, it's lighter than mine Mine weighs 21lbs RTR and I'm running a Prather 250 Stainless which is 58.7mm 1.6 pitch

              The hull looks nice.

              A twin setup 2 x 6S or 2 x 8S should be fine

Thank you for the compliment, but who said anything about a twin setup? Do you have any pics of a twin set up that you completed?

I thought the Viper just needed a little something more toward the back without taking away from the killer Metal Flake work in the front. So I got out my Poster Board, Vinyl, Olfa knife, Siscors and made some patterns cut some Vinyl. This is what I came up with, I think it's quite a bit more flash! DSC02659.jpgDSC02660.jpgDSC02661.jpg
