I decided to start a Q sport build with an AC hull I pretty much got for free after I sold the nitro motor that was in it. I told myself I'd save some cash using it but I think it's like buying an aquarium the tank or hull is the cheapest part of it.
I'm building an 1/8 scale ML kit as well so this build will hopefully help with the learning curve.
I'm using a Neu 1527 1.5D, Castle Hydra Ice 240, with parallel 6s Revolectrix packs in MBP "easy move" battery mounts. I have a pair of 3700's and a pair of 5000's to try. The motor is held with a bottom mount from South River RC and the collet is from MBP as well. I machined an oiler tank that attaches to a butch block stuffing tube mount.
I used 6mm bullets on the motor and 8mm Jeti anti-spark bullets on the esc and batts.
