    Mini Sniper SAW N-Mono

So I switched gears and decided to build an N-mono for SAW using a 23'' DF Mini Sniper hull. Started with some reinforcing, I used Coremat under the deck and laid CF in the hull. For the hatch I used strips of Coremat under the CF to add strength, but help keep weight down.

Using Speedmaster Strut and Rudder, I made templates to lay out on the transom. One trim tab needed the corner clipped to fit. The rudder will be cut down some for SAW use and strut needs to be modified to allow more adjustment.

Look a the last edition of rx boat for a write up on this boat. I have a new one also from Steve ( green in color ). The rc boat mag has 2 5000 mah lipos in series. Good article. No saw or racing are not in my budget.

A little more done on this one. Room is limited and it's a tight fit for a 4030 motor and SF 220A ESC.
The size of the motor leads doesn't help either.

On the other side of the motor. The weight of the battery is very close to that of the ESC and servo.

                        Is it a 4D or a 5D 4030?

So.....it's a tight fit, but it's all in there. I will have to keep the battery leads/cap bank in check to keep them clear of the servo and motor collet. I'm leaving the rudder at full length for now. Just need to secure the battery. Next up, testing (and a windshield).

Very nice but, is it a 4D or 5D motor?

You can always count on That Guy to shove a massive motor in such a little boat. This is going to be insane. What prop are you starting with?
