Need help with picking the right KV on my motor and ESC and Lipo.

    IMAG0202.jpg
I am building a miss bud brushless and I have picked out the motor I am going to use http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...o-3674&cat=148 a leopard 3674 and the ESC I am thinking on using is the http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=hef-HB60220L Swordfish 220amp. Now my question is will all this work with these Lipos (2) http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...lipo_pack.html.
I have it set up so I can put the lipos behind my spoons.

What volts are you going to be running 3s 11.1 or 6s 22.2 ?
And what kv is that 3674 going to be ?
Also you do not need all of that high of a C rate,
You could just go with 30/40 or 40/50 for just sport running and have fun.
Going that lower c may save you a little money to put where you really need it.

        Ok,
Well than that is a whole new ball game than.
Sounds like you will need some good info from the racers on hear,
This way you should get a good cool running setup to race with.

Maybe Tony will add some info on this for you.

here's what a friend told me to do.
            motor 4082- 2000 kv leopard.
            ESC turnigy T 180.
            batts A- spec 65c 6s pack.
prop to start with 1450 (stock)
work the prop up slowly , you should get some good speed,

That sounds like a lot of prop 1450 on 6s with a 180a esc and 2000kv motor.

How big is this boat? I'm not the most qualified to give advice on hydro setups, but I'll help where I can.
From the talk that has been going on at Jim's RC boat dock, it sounds like the new location this year may present some rougher water compared to last year's location. Keep that in mind when building your boat. If you're building a small hydro, expect to be limited more by your ability to keep the boat in the water than by the power you have on board.
I've actually met the guy that won the shootout last year...really cool, great looking guy.

The more I think about building this miss bud I am starting to think I Should maybe just pick up a Vortex 24'' hydro from the OSE website Something I can start from scratch and mess with.
