    Waterproofing Your Radiobox

After a recent 'incident' resulting in the loss of both the BEC and ESC in clouds of smoke, I realised that the radio box of my SV wasn't as waterproof as I first thought.

How do you guys go about waterproofing your radio boxes to reduce any potential for damage should bad things happen??

(Boy those ESC's sure make a mess when they burn up.)

smelly too...try leaving a small tub of baking soda in the boat to sog up the odar (much like you do for the fridge ). mainly we try to keep the water out of the boat, period. granted that can be a challenge, but it can be done...
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

Another thing is that it is much safer to have a real waterproof ESC.

in answer to your question.. watterproof everything. ie: take some silicone and silicone all the isides of hardware( backing plates and nuts) radio box: i used a lap of duct tape there to seal the lid to the tub, and where the antenna wire comes out i put silicone there also.. Also silicone around water jacket stockers leak really bad.
Big time help.. tape the hatch.
