This boat held several NAMBA SAW records in 40 size back in the early 90's You can still get a scorpion but with a different deck this deck IMHO is the best deck of them all ,the molds were distroyed in the fire at AM back in the 90's anyway I am re doing the hul with hopes to go electric only time will tell how that works out LOL I chipped out the foam floation and the fuel tank I had buried in the foam not a easy job , I am also removing the rails here is a pictorial of what I am doing

The classic Q Mono system is a Neu 1527/1Y (1250 Kv) on 6S2P. That should give speeds in the 60s when set up for oval racing. A hotter setup would be the 1527/1.5D (1500 Kv) which would be faster but would heat things up more. For a more budget build the Leopard or TP motors of similar size and Kv would be alternate choices.

This really takes me back! I had one of these back then, ran it on a K&B 7.5 marine. Fast boats. Mine was black, Octura Strudder on the back, also an Octura Motor mount, not a Hum-dinger though, solid mount. Still have my old Magnum Sport radio, in an original gold tub Associated RC10 buggy.
Can't wait to see this one running. Cheers! If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment

I have been doing some more work here and there. I sanded down the inside, real well, filled the transom holes, made a wood doubler for the transom out of 1/8 plywood. and made a few templets for the C/F I will install with Epoxy resin , tell me what you think thanks chrisComment
