Yes, I've got another Turnigy marine t-120 amp esc and took a good look and see the 2 caps are 470uF 35v and think that isn't enough. Anyone knowing the exact caps will be appreciated and how many. Oh yes, thanks! I just never looked at the other esc and took it for granted as it work alright.

My t-120a had two 35v 390uF caps that were bad,
And I replaced them with two 35v 1000uF caps and the esc works good now.Last edited by lenny; 11-16-2013, 12:07 PM. -
Yep.
Same t120a with the two stock caps and I added three 35v 1000uF caps to control the temps better,
When I modded the shockwave to FE with the 9xl 1898kv Feigao start with.
Than the motor shaft bent so I tried the 4074 1800kv and have the 2200kv in it now.Comment

Sorry I just looked at it again today.
Post #3 is right for the 36" shockwave and esc,
It has been about a year or more when did it to that one.
But in post #2 I did that one about 3 months ago,
And I just took the two bad stock caps off and replaced them with two 35v 1000uF caps and it works good now.Comment

I did this to the HK T120 esc. Runs really nice.
I don;t trust those 2 tiny caps on there. This is not the easiest thing to do but, not super hard. I removed the originals immediately and added 130*F 35V-1000uF caps instead.Attached FilesNortavlag Bulc

From the Cap King out of NY. CAPS They are not the lowest Impedence caps but, if Etti uses them they have to be pretty good.
I have heard one person bought certain caps from him that did not work well but, not sure which ones but, not these though. These seem to work well.
I think it's a good idea to test them first to make sure they charge properly. just put a meter to resistance scale and watch them charge. If you had a capacitor checker, that would be even better but, they are pretty expensive I think.Nortavlag Bulc
