What's the advantage of the fiberglass hatch over the carbon one?

With the CF boat and hatch you can have radio interference if you don't have a external antenna. I played it safe and got the FG hatch and the Futaba receiver I have has two antennas one inside and one external so there's no way I'm going to have any interference problems!!

Another question: What size flex cable fits this boat? Was it included by TFL?

3/16 and yes it came with, it's not a welded it's a square drive but you can put a regular welded flex in with no modification.

                      flraptor,

I am looking at ordering a Nue 1521 Y1, 1577kv with a 8mm shaft from OSE. Is the 8mm shaft a problem with the TFL hardware or can I make it work? What do you think of this motor?

My Arian 2 will ship later this week according to Monica.

                      Thank you,

                      Varooom

No that's not a problem, you just need to get a 8mm to 3/16 coupler . but why are you getting the 8mm? They make it in the regular 5mm. Also if you plan on running it in Q Mono you should get the 1527 1Y 1250kv or 1527 1.5D 1500kv I found this out after the fact and I've got a 1527 for my Q Hydro build and I'm going to try it in the Ariane. But it will still be plenty fast on the 1521.

I'd get the 8mm shaft. On the longer motors (1521 and longer) we found long ago that the 5mm shaft could whip at high rpm, damaging the windings and causing much vibration. There is no downside to the 8mm shaft, and 8mm to 3/16" couplers are not hard to find.
