Not one, but TWO FC Daytona 37's!

Just like my Vac-U-Pickle Reaper, this will be a slow build, but for different reasons. I get back to ATL, GA on August 15th so I want to install the driveline and hardware shortly after. The boats will move to Daytona Beach, FL with me for school. That's where I will finish them. These builds are for two of my VI coworkers, so how fast it gets built and tested in depends on how fast they want to get the parts ordered.

The hulls have been ordered. We opted for the Fiberglass version for obvious reasons.

I have a few hardware related questions.
    1) Does anyone know where to get the FC 3/16" Strut/Rudder Offset hardware from? Kev has no ETA on when they will be restocked.
    2) Is there anything wrong with this mount? I'm not trying to be cheap. I just do not find the water cooled mount to be necessary and I'm fine with the non angle adjustment. This one probably mounts to the hull better too. This mount does not have a rear support, but it does have extra mounting holes.

This will be a single setup using a 40## with a kv between 1800 and 2200. It will be powered by two 2s 5800mah lipos in series. I have a six 6s 5800mah lipos so I'll just break them down to use for these.

Kintec has the offset rudder and 3/16'' strut. I was looking for the same thing, and kintec has it, almost identical to the Fightercat version. Check out my build thread in the appropriate section for pictures. I also opted for a single outrunner which has also been great so far. My setup has been awesome after 6 runs.

I'm at Embry-Riddle. The Octura stuff looks really outdated, plus this hull has a small mounting surface.

I saw your build and it is really nice. That's what turned me to Kintec for these boats, but they aren't responding to any of my emails, and I don't want my friends to have to pay for an extra strut that they won't need. I had an order for over $250 waiting since last week for Kintec, but all i wanted was a simple response. We are not in any rush though.

I don't know about their email response time, but I placed an order with them for my strut for my Daytona and it showed up to FL within a few days.

Same here, always quick shipping after multiple orders. That seems strange your not getting a reply from Jan, he is normally quick. If you order I am sure he will deliver. What is your question on parts?

I've placed two prior orders without issues or complaints. In fact, Kintec is, as of this week, the second fastest order received-from-payment I have ever had. Surprisingly Hobbyking trumped all when I received an order within 72 hours (WA to GA).

What are the specs on the 3/16" strut that comes with the combo? stuffin tube diameter? ideal drive dog diameter? Did it come with the bushing?

I should also state that I want to use .187" flex shafts and would prefer to have the liner.

So I finally got most of the hardware for the first boat. Well, it was made known that the cable and motor mount was back ordered when I opened the box and saw it on the receipt.

Then there is the strudder. Am I really expected to have to grind the strut down so that the assembly fits flush?

We'll see how if they actually get back to me this time.

I had to do the same thing with my strut using the Kintec hardware.. Too wide like yours and also too thick- would not allow the rudder mount to be tightened fully and if I tried, the strut wouldn't budge to make adjustments.

                              That's unacceptable.

I got the rudder mount holes drilled and I'm wondering how would one get back there to install the nuts. For that reason, I'll go with blind nuts, the fill the area around them with epoxy.
