Self righting hull upgrade build

So, I'm considering this boat from Hobbyking due to the slick look, all metal gear and RTR state. I want to run it stock and see what I get but if I should try and upgrade to something say faster what motor/prop combo would you guys suggest? I'm guessing that I can probably only get 2200-3000mAh battery in that hull max, probably closer to the 2,200 mAh though. What do you guys think? Here is the boat:

I would strip the electronics completely and look at reinforcing mounts etc. if you plan to upgrade it....that esc looks like a fire waiting to happen. Looked at it myself lol I want the df26 clone in carbon but cant get a price on it yet hehe.

It actually looks like a cool little boat to me. As with any rtr or artr, there will be
some tweaks and mods, but overall I like. Neat way to have a flood chamber and the turn fin

That's what I was thinking. I would run it stock of course first.
