I currently work on the pylons in foam
for the setup, i don't know for the moment
electric, leopard 5692 730kv 10S (same setup in my HPR CT04 in 12S)
or gaz BZM or blata 40 with gearbox twin out drive

I don't know her weight but should let you know steve here on this site sells a leopard 56 110 motor in 780kv. Its like 220 bucks with the cooling jacket. This is such a cool project

but my problem is the autonomie, 10 20min is very low, or very expensive in lipo
in gas is 40 min for lowest price

the weight is 8kg just the hull
with 12s 5000, controller and brushless is 13kg (setup off my HPR, exactly the same weight) but no hardware (drive, flex, engine mount etc)

Wow 10 20 min would be an eternity for me that run nitro and saw Fe but I do understand your point of view when you say gás is more economical...anyway would be cool to see your progress.Gill

ATTENTION my project is not speed, my project is realism (scale) (60 or 70km/h max)

when I talk about gas, I mean blata or BZM 40cc
with 1 liter of gasoline in France the guys run 40 minutes without worries
for the price
1 BZM $ 400
1 gear box $ 200-300
tank, 1 baxter (hospital) free
+ oil, etc

total $ 800

in electric
2 BL leopard 5692 340$
2 controller HV caslte 200A 680$
8 lipo zippy 8000mha 5S 25c 49$ (10S2p/motor) for run 20min = 392$

total 1412$ (out charger, power supply, plug etc)

for the little setup 56'' max and speed and race, ok is verry interresent but in large scale, i realize that prices are still high

But I'm a big supporter of tesla motor !!! i love the tesla S
