    Mean Machine2 Build question

Ok OSE I have a question about the shaft tubinig on a MM Cat. As it passes thru the bottom of the hull is there a guide or bracket, or it just passes thru the hull and I have to seal it up with something. I'm open to any advise out there.

    Thanks to all!

No need for those brackets. Mount the motor and make sure the stuffing tube is aligned properly. I put a piece of 3/16 diameter brass tube in the collet and slide it into the stuffing tube. On the bottom of the tunnel, tape around the stuffing tube as best you can. Then glue the tube in place from the inside. I like the slow cure JB Weld. I mask off an area around the stuffing tube and after the JB has cured for a few hours, I pull the tape for nice clean edges.

Ok OSE let me give you an update as to why I'm building another cat??!! As you can see my Mötley Crew experienced a complete back flip at over 50 MPH! You can see the results. So I stripped my MC and put all my goodies in my MM and decided to call it my E for electric = MC squared (E=MC2) for Mötley Crew 2! Here are some build pics nothing inside is permanent yet? Any suggestions very welcomed.

I drilled the hole angled and I sealed the inside with slow JB WELD. outside bottom I dabbed very little CA.DSCN3403_3604.jpg,DSCN3406_3607.jpg
In case you are wondering why the JB WELD circle is so big, I had brass tabs soldered on to the stuffing tube for extra security and all is "buried" under the JB WELD. Not a necessary step, just my personal preference.DSCN2794_2258.jpg

I got a killer deal on a nitro MM2 and it arrived today. I will be converting it to FE. I got my work cut out for me but this thread has given me a few ideas that will save some time. Thanks for the contributions to the thread. As I say the only dumb question is the one you don't ask.
