Going to run sirius 1717 motors with fightercat racing 300amp 8's speedies.Ive got a pair of octura 467 counter rotating props but will run smaller props to start
    with.
I bought this boat with a 26cc clone motor and got 55kmh out of it and i had troubles with it stalling all the time so i stripped it down and bought all new engine mounts with the easy to remove set up and got a clutch for the motor and it ran ok and the clutch stopped the stalling issue. However i crashed it into the jetty and made a mess of the nose section. My mate managed to repair the front end and i put all the bits back together but then didnt even take it out.I had a set of brand new fightercat speedies and sirius 1717's motors sitting there waiting to get used somewhere so i decided to try a twin conversion on the mono hull.
It hasnt been to hard to do the conversion just alot of time and thought. When i did the big upgrade with the gas motor mounts i had completley stripped the hull and removed the origional wooden rails in the boat i decided to make some replacements using alluminium and this has allowed me to drill and tap into the top of the rails.
I made my own motor mounts and also my own servo mount but i might have to redo the servo mount because im not sure where the ruder will go.If i can get the new rudder in the centre then its all good but if it has to go back to the side of the boat i will have to rethink my servo position and mount.
Ive set the motors up about 6"(150mm) from the transom and will have the speedies mounted on the side outside of the rails and the batteries will be placed infront of the motors.Im not looking at breaking any records with this boat just making it for something to do in my spare time.Hope to have it in the water in the next 3-4 weeks.
