    Delta Force 29" Sports Mono

I've had a DF29 hull and all the bits sitting around for too long and decided that I should build it up and get back out on the water. It'll only ever be a sport boat as I don't race but I thought I'd share the build anyway. The plan is to use a Castle 1515 2200kv motor, Seaking 180 amp speedo and 4s2p 10000mAh Nano Tech lipos.
I started by laying carbon/Kevlar over the transom followed with carbon cloth through out the hull and ensured that the carbon covered the seem to give the hull good strength as I have habit of crashing, I will do the hatch as well.

A few days later I got around to installing the hardware. I've used a speedmaster 21 rudder and stinger drive, ose trim tabs and turn fins and will be running a 3/16 flex, octura drive dog and will start with a x442 and move up to a cupped m445.

I had a damaged motor mount that I've used by making new sides with a 2.5mm carbon fibre sheet. I copied the screw holes off the damaged supports and cut it to size, drilled holes along the bottom edges for a better grip with the hull and then mounted it into place using Z-poxy 30 minute resin. I've gone for a short drive shaft and have used 1/4" K&S brass tube with a small carbon support I whipped up. I still need to add a small piece of heat shrink over the end near the coupler but otherwise it's all aligned and ready.

The next job was to build a battery tray. To do this I've used a 100mm x 210mm 2.5mm carbon fibre sheet, a 40mm wide 50mmx50mm aluminium angle piece, sticky rubber foam, an ose carbon battery tray and a couple of super cam tie downs that are made with a 25mm wide seat belt style webbing and are very strong. I cut inserts in the carbon sheet so I can get the tie downs under and used JB wield to attach the aluminium to the carbon fibre so that it will keep the lipos off the motor and secured the tray in place with 30 minute resin. Once dry, I covered the tray with the foam and cut the tie down straps to length. To keep the metal cams from damaging the lipos I covered the ose carbon battery tray with foam on both sides and it sits between the top of the batteries and the cams.

After soldering on 8mm connectors to the esc, I fitted it in place and started on the water cooling. I've ran a piece of aluminium tube through the transom and used jb wield to secure a t-piece in the end. The system has one line going to the esc and another to the motor and motor mount. I guess I'll just have to run it to make sure enough water is getting through to keep things cool, if not I'll make some changes in the future.

I run that setup in several setups and the go very well. Yours should rip. the m445 doesn't even come close to taxing the system so I would think would could start there.

I had a very good run today using an octura x545 that's had the tongues removed. It ran for around 4-5minutes at speeds up to 88kph (54.68mph) and the electronics where only warm to touch. The boat turns like a dream, definitely my new favourite for now.
