custom made lipo mount system - HPR 233

Hello Guys,

today I want to present you the result of a a recent project I've done. Some time ago a fellow boater from the USA contacted me if I can help him with a lipo mount system for his HPR 233 (original HPR). He has seen the lipo mount system from Catpower on the HPR website and fell in love with it. So he asked me if I'd be interested and able to make something similar or maybe even better. I accepted the challenge and he sent me eight 6S 5000mAh lipo batteries.

And this is how they look in a HPR 233:



Each pack is a 12S2P unit, inside each 12S1P has its own 6mm bullet connectors included in the casing, thus double 6mm connectors for each pack to the ESC. To get rid of the balancer cables each pack also features two Sub-D 15pole connectors for the balancer ports. As carbon fibre is an electric conductor these parts are assembled in a black GFK (glass fibre) kind of subframe. The hexagonal spacers are also custom made of stainless steel. I made a list and each of these two packs is assembled of 124 individual parts, took also about 4 hours each. Weight of each unit is also a decent 3.25kg or 6.5 pounds. Fits pretty nice in a HPR 233 as it can be seen above.

The guy I made these parts for already fell in love with these, may have to make another set. Thought it would be nice to share these, as I've to admit I was a little surprised myself of the end result.
