What kind of conditions will you be running in? Have you run anything else RC, like cars or planes? We need more info about what you would like out of it.

What I meant is are you going to be running on water that is rough or is it generally pretty calm. That would determine what kind of hull you would want. If you want a hull that is the 14" range I would look at these http://www.bbyracing.com/elecmicrohulls.asp.

I don't often speak up here as I spend most of my time reading the great wealth of information that has been presented by some of the best in the world of RC boats.
                  Here I go !

                  1. You want a boat ?.............yes

                  2. Do you have any idea of the type of hull you would like ? hydro, mono, tunnel, cat ??

                  3. Is it safe to assume that you would like this boat to be electric powered ?

                  4. The rc cars you have, are they electric or fuel, we ask as this will help towards advising you about cells ( batteries ) and chargers etc.

                  5. A POOL ?? how big is the pool and do you have an idea of how fast you would like your boat to go ? THIS is very important because as far as I am concerned most pools are good for float testing FE boats.

                  6. Is English ( American ) your first language ?
                  See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

It might also help to know how much money you are willing to spend.
