I have a friend who has a villeinex and I drove it. Now I want to build a brushless boat. Is this all I need.

I have seen radio combos with servos for around $50.00. For just a few $ more over the cost of the traxxas you could get a a hole radio package (of the same quality)
AND for another $15.00 You could upgrade to the 100 Amp controller.

what rods do I need and were do I get them for the linked

dunno if that radio box will fit under the hatch...its kinda tight in the vertical. do get hatch tape. I use 2-56 servo linkage from the lhs (airplane supplies). ayup you get everything need for the drive line(sans prop) although a nylon insert 5-40 locknut to replace the supplied bullet propnut would be a good idea.

also how do the X-Power Brushless 70a Esc. handel lipo cutoff

motor/battery choice:
motor is too hot a wind for a 4s(14.8v) system(imo), a 7 or 8l on 2s(7.4v) with the 100a esc would be a better choice.
electrical connectors:
minimum 4 mm(5.5mm would be my choice) 3.5mm will get HOT.

For batteries I would choose either of these and run 2 packs in parallel. for just sport running. Both of these packs are very reliable.

The Speedmaster system is also very good for monos. You will need a turn fin and possibly trim tabs. You would want to run it without the trim tabs first to see how it runs.

well guys I was charging my 6k 3s lipo fir my rustler vxl (fun truck) and my charger started smoking. It was a nice one, stuck with my old and trustly duratake twin.. Anyway, this means im stuck with nimh battery's. I was thinking running these in Parallel for long run time. what you think. click


also anyone know when the x-power 100am esc will come in stock
