    Delta Force 26

These are my first FE boats that I've put together. Let me know what you think. I'm hoping that next season I can compete in a P-limited mono race or two and maybe SAWs. This is the second Delta force 26 hull I've built. The first one I built was the red one and the new one is white. The red hull was set up with an Aquacraft UL-1 motor and ESC and was powered by two 2s 5000mah 45C hyperion packs in series. It seemed to handle well with an X440 but was kinda slow, and It was on the edge handling wise, but getting some decent speed on an M445 (45mph on the GPS logger).

I wanted to change some things about the interior layout to accomodate shorter ESC wires and provide more fore and aft battery movement. So I decided to try again with a new hull. I also wanted to be able to run both the UL-1 motor and a Neu 1515 .5y 4400kv motor if I wanted. This would allow me to compete in both the P-ltd mono and the N-2 mono classes by simply switching batteries from series to parallel and swapping motors.

I still havent decided on an ESC for the N-2 setup but I originally thought a Swordfish 200+ would work for both motors. It will work well and have plenty of head room for the P-ltd setup, but I don't think it's enough for the N-2 setup. Logging is also nice. I think when I can afford it I'll get a CC Hydra Ice 240 and it should work for both setups.

Carbon part over the cable drive nut make it quick release so you can loosen and tighten the nut to grease the cable drive.

Slots in carbon part allow for wrenches to access coupler. Removal of carbon part not necessary for maintenance of flex cable.

My Df 26 didn't like the small turn fins. It does much better with the medium ones

Oh and mine runs a Leo 4074 2200kv on 4s with x440/3 and is at about 50mph, but can handle much more. Don't be fooled these little suckers can get into the 60's and even higher

dana have you experienced any sudden diving at all with with the DF hulls, ive seen mention of this with some of the larger DF hulls, but have been told the DF26 does not seem to do this as much as the larger ones. Ive personally seen this happen with a friends DF26 boat only running at around 35mph on fairly calm water. The boat was running straight but just dived as though their was simply a hole in the water & hit the bottom (only 3ft deep ) & took the front off the boat & never surfaced. Im thinking of building a 26 for SAW but wanted feed back on any of these potential probs. Martin.

Hey Martin, as a matter of fact it has happened to me. Took a nice little nick out of the nose when it hit bottom. This was before I got it setup rite. For some reason I really struggled to get mine setup and running nice... Haven't had any problems since Ive got my setup rite tho

dana apart from correct cg what did you find made the difference in other areas to the set up to help prevent diving. thanks Martin.
