Make sure they are good and thin too. That will help a lot! you can always reduce diameter on the 55mm prop to say 53 or so..this will keep the higher pitch, but reduce the load a little. I am not a prop guy, but this does seem to work! Just do a few laps and check temps with a temp gun. See where to go from there! Another thing I saw, is you are running 10000mah (didn't reread if you are yet, so maybe your not), but that is a lot of weight that may not be needed. I only run 6600mah and get plenty of laps with that much. Might something to consider?

Do you think there's enough room in the Whiplash for 10000mah?

Mike, did you get my email regarding the price of one of these (GP335) shipped to Australia?

The molds look great, can't wait to see the first part pulled from one.

Regarding props, some of the Prather props work well with a 1521/1.5D in a sport hydro, another option. Maybe we should start a thread for ML GP series set-ups? Keep all the info in one place.

Molds arrived yesterday, and I started the Seasoning process. Got the 2 coats of Shellac on them to seal up the tiny pores the REN board has, and got 2 of the 10 total mold release coats on. Once the mold release coats are done, I will start working on the layups. Maybe by the weekend I will have some parts to share.

                SawEEEEET !!!
One thought, do you think these will be likely to have less pinhole tendency?
I had to fill quite a few in the stock cowl and was hoping that it was something that might be addressed in this line?

Without vacuum bagging, pinholes will possibly be present. I have gotten better at reducing them, but they happen. Do what Phil T. always recommends, lightweight spackling compound. I rub it all over the part, smearing it into the pores, then I dry sand it once its hard. It hardens quick in the summer. This will rid of any problems. I don't have the knowledge, nor the molds to vacuum bag, nor the money to spend on that setup!

I too am anxious to order the GP335 kit once new cowl is available. Nice design work overall. Enjoy watching the process develop on these GP boats Mike.

Mike, My brother and I do not get many pin holes in our epoxy cowls. We use MAS epoxy. West systems epoxy left us with all kinds of pin holes.

                                spakling sounds easy!
any estimates on first batch and cost?
am I on the list for the first batch?

                                Rock on Mike!
