MHZ Drambuie on ice 54"

I bought this hull with an incomplete paint scheme, no holes drilled.
The paint was removed, undercoated, and coated in base red .





the final hope is something like this FULL SIZE offshore ( from Australian site )

Ive distant plans for more than electric for this hull.

However, I found a great online store at

where I grabbed a pair of these, with both 3/16 and 1/4 stubshafts
around 450US landed for both, with the 2 sets of stubs.

adjustable length ( although this means cutting the flex , so start long, and work your way back in !
Adjustable angle, with a rotary 'click' wheel that changes depth by +/- 1mm per click. easy !












insert 1/4 flex with Loctite 680 and it's ready to go.

Twin 5692/730 on 12S1P allows this to run in Australia's largest FE class of EC*
(*12cells max, 1.96Kg/4.3lb max Lipo wieght )
Total RTR is 8.1Kg ( 17.8lb)

a pair 2230s and 2x10S2P batteries for a mile race @80mph would make it not eligible under this country's rules.

I had measured this hull for other options, however ......... but common sense prevailed

Nice to see more Drambuie on Ice builts .

I built the Drambuie with two scorpions 4035/800 on 10s each, weight is about 10kg .

Got videos not from the on board cam i like to see how it handles .

approx 3/4 throttle is my fear limit for this hull this location..
Pond has solid concrete walls.. which already has a red paint spot souvenir ... !

Bigger hulls handle water better, but at speed anything is a wild ride in the rough.
Size does matter.

I saw a 37" genesis smoke, flame and sink on this water today.
The hull was running at 100% across the wavetops..load, unload, load, unload and inconsistent cooling may have lit that match.

32" can be great. I had a 36" maritimo at 85mph+ .. lots of setup and test but a ripper after all that work ( vid on youtube)

You can't get a 32" mono much above 60 mph easily.
