It would be nice to have a 2 part foam that could be cut and had no absorbtion at all.

I noticed it once when I had to shave a piece of flotation off a canopy and then I swaped the boat. The canopy was realy heavy afte until it aired out a long time.

Enough about flotation for now. Looking forward to the finished boat!

I thought the sponsons and center portion would be skinned individualy and then glue on spnsons after? I guess not.

You are correct. I had one glued on, then was lookin at the instructions and it does say, "do not glue sponsons on yet!"
Thanks for posting that! It was a picture just like mine that influenced me to glue them. In my picture, they are just set together, not glued. It is much more difficult to skin a sponson glued to the tub...

Jaman! Todd (Clueless1) is building one too. I was just at his house and he learned the hard way that the different length 1/4" bass sticks are specific: long on top and short on bottom.
He can over come this shortfall (ha ha.... I crack myself up)... sorry, he will have to add scrap pieces to make the full length to the nose piece. Hopefully he will post a pic of what NOT to do.
