    Outboard 56" Viper Apache

I've just scored a 56" viper mono for only $150 delivered and after my recent experience with the 1717 pushing the heavy, incorrectly set up rescue craft up on a plane, I figure it'll make a nice set up to run with a few of the guy's running gasser's at the res.
My (20minute) thought is to bolt a 1717 1580kv motor on a hyper outboard leg http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...ullet-outboard , depending on weight issue's, I'll run a 240 amp speedo and either 6s2p or 6s4p. It'll be a sport boat for fun and giggles, not hair raising thrill's that have my heart racing until the inevitable crash a few minutes into my run, I'm over that.
Here's a pic of the hull and the motor that's fitted to a pro boat leg.

the pic of the hull is off the sales thread.

after receiving this hull today I think it'll need a little more push, either http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rc...8nrlWTUyl06TTw 52cc twin inline or http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-MOD-ZENOAH-M...3A1%7C294%3A50 or the good old 2x 2028..............runtime??? Now I need to figure out weather I want a gasser or not, this boat is huge.

        Nice boat!
Should run not bad with a RCMK K30 or 29.5cc Zenoah

But he, this is an electro forum, so get yourself 2 of those outboard beauties

I would really like to see it running the 2 outboards!

        Good luck

my main concern with twin outboards is the prop size they can fit, I know the pro boat's biggest prop is a x447/3. The motor can push these prop's no worries but will these prop's move the hull well enough? I've seen them lift the rescue rigger up onto it's tramsom while the prop's bitting but that structure is already on top of the water. What size prop can a O.S. or the hyper leg's fit??

Try a lawless G Drive leg.

sorry guy's, you might want to close the thread. After almost hitting the button on 2x 1527 1.5y 850kv motors with O.S. legs, I've just got off the phone purchasing a
RCMK S-520 EVO G-2 Twin Cylinder Gasoline Engine, http://www.hobbysupplies.com.au/RCMK%20Engines.htm I guess I'm going to have my first gasser after all, now that's done I'll go finish the 42 cat before I get too involved with this one.

I was in the shed toying around just now and have realised that way back in my first post I think I may have rambled on about always wanting a gas rc boat and how after going brushless with my monster truck, I'd been converted, well, I guess not. I've decided to go all out on this one so I'm going to sell a couple of boats and other toy's to fund the build. I have an opportunity here to build something I've always dreamt of having and it'll be another bomber boat, this time for me.
