Very nice Wayne she looks great do you know roughly what your amp draw is I guess the 12s 1p shared is enough for the setup that's pretty cool

      Hi Kent,

well the photo shows the biggest CF sheet I had at home so far. Pic was also taken almost a year ago. The sheet had the following dimensions: 1255x745x2.1mm so almost 1m² pure CF. Made already some jokes with my friend Christian to use such big sheets but thinner ones as flooring in his house as he is a carbon fibre fanatic.

May one of the mods take the posts #430 to #449 and move them to twissteds new thread. Not that is dislike is boats or whatever he posts, it does just simply not belong to your review.

      regards,
      Manuel

BTW: still interested in the MBP Couplers and the Gundert shafts or will you order these on your own?

Hello, LMT 2280's have shipped from Germany. Hehe, this should be interesting......and maybe fast! Will be making a couple of upgrades including using a 5mm quality flex cable from Manuel. Changing to the 2280's should be a fun 6s setup for sport with larger props and hopefully super fast on 7-8s as well? They are 1480kv in delta and around 870kv in wye, so a 12s 1p shared should be possible as well?

Seems as some of the german motors and ESC's seem to be worth the money. Kent also told me in an email he is very satiesfied with the LMT/Modellbauregler-Combo in his build.

Will be interesting to see the performance with the LMT 2280/5 but I think you'll need at least a set of full size Octura X457's to get some decent results!

                regards,
                Manuel

I would have loved the AS200 with my new LMT 2280's (they are in the post as I'm writing) I do think the 2280/5's on 8s with the 57 cut to 52 should get me 100mph no problem ( I'd like to think so but don't want to go flying while trying :)) I even think the 2250's on a good day could get me very close, but I don't want to cook anything.

When you say decent results Manuel, is that 100mph ++++ ?

Very nice result can’t wait that mine is looking the same and go for a run.
Good luck this weekend, I’m going to build a bit.
                            Have nice runs Kent

                              Hi Kent,

mhh I guess you will drive them in Delta with 1480kv, difficult to guess the the pitch of the X457 reduced to 52mm as I don't know how they look or were machined. But they should get you close to the 100mph mark, maybe you even top it a little. X457's should be enough for over 170km/h. But be careful about the amp draw and check the temperatures of motors, ESC and batteries! I'd start again with the X448's you already tested!

                              regards,
                              Manuel

Hmm, don't know the pitch either? I will run in delta for 6-8s that's some serious RPM as well (well in the low to mid 40K) In all honesty, I didnt build this to go that fast LOL I wanted a nice loking boat with a nice paint job and cool decals. The risk of flipping/crashing at those speeds are great. She's solid at 130km/h but what happens at 30km/h more?
I will definetly start with the 448's just to see how the motors are running and staying cool. I'm trying the 457-52's on the weekend with 6s, that will give me an idea as to how it can run. (should be safe on 6s) Shes light, and shes a glider :)
