Mike,
I know what you mean about the Merc Super 10 Hurricanes. I'm fortunate enough to have a real nice one. I even got it out this Fall and ran it on my old 12-foot Duranautic tinny. Easily one of the nicest running motors I own - and still screams! Of course, I no longer weigh anywhere NEAR the 120 lbs. I weighed when I first started running 10hp Mercs on that boat.

Scott my friend you have just taken me right back thank you very much. I been 104 mph in an old BGF 30 years ago and the 10 hp is more fun. If you ever sell the engine send me shout out. I remember cruising about 25 mph and that big Letter 'K' being the throttle it seemed to get on the pipe in the last 3/8 of an inch. I remember pulling inch by inch racing a brand new Corranado 21 with a two 4 bbl carb setup @ 35 mph.
You made 2012 for me thanks again. Yes I am 240# today I might sink that 12ft row boat Ha.

Oh My!
Where was the show? I can smell the gas and oil mix.......and that last 3/4- 1" to wide open throttle MAN nothing like it today. Well maybe my 97 Mitsubishi 2.0L turbo does feel pretty good with 260 fwd whp LOL. Who was that old guy in the Spyder with the top down? LOL Suprise.....Gotta watch us old guy's. No it's not my son's car!

Boat is coming along nicely. Got the sides finished and the bottom on! Also sealed up the inside this weekend with West System. I'm going to do a little layout design next and make compartments for the batt, receiver, ESC and servo.

wow, that's really cool! Where will you put all the radio gear etc? under the nose?

THAT is a good question. My plan is to hid the batt inside a seat/box in the bow cockpit area. The esc and TX will go under the rear floorboard, raised more than scale to accomodate them. And the steering servo may get disguised as a gas tank. That's the idea anyway. Still gotta figure out the execution part of all that...

Oh my!
Looking at them it reminds my Rubbing is Racing. I can just see the first heat boats going everywhere LOL count my in and don't complain if you get prop marks down the side or across the deck of you boat. These will be a handful to keep in your lane so with that said let's race.
