Built myself a Rescue Boat

Updated the first post with some new pictures. Decided to spend the $10 and get the velcro and male/female fittings thanks to SirBudman's idea.

Oh and to the post above this, the boat isn't just used as a rescue boat, it is a boat I run every time I go out, it was just easiest to use as a rescue..so maybe Detox was planning to do the same.

I figured basic is good! Will have to update with finished pics but first run it filled full of water and smoked the esc but I dried it and out and seemed to work again but on the second outing she remained watertight but the esc died completely

Hell I got the same boat,ShockWave-26 Brush less. Bought mine used off e-bay for $100.00. Better than the one from tower, with reverse a steerable out drive, lipo ready, and can still have fun with it.

What diameter PVC pipe are you using?

I used 40mm pipe (inches what?!) being in the UK, just purchased from my local hardware store, as you can see a tupperware tub does the trick and providing you seal the holes correctly its watertight with the lid on.

I build a shelf to mount the servo, esc and rx which you cant see in the pics, does the trick for less than $40.

I used 1/2 PVC pipe for mine, then a pool noodle will fit right over it. Made it all for about $15.00

Mine is 1/2" pvc as well.
