    hi guys

im fairly new to rc boating iv build only 1 boat before but never put electronics in it. Im on the verge of building another boat. Iv gotten the plans for the 72" mono and scaled it down to 40", im using 3mm ply, fiberglass and epoxy. I want to fit it with a 700bb or sc brushed motor. ill either perchase the elctronics from the internet or my local hobby store. for me money is an issue because im still in school and dont work, but im still willing to spend around $650. i havent started building the boat yet because i would like to know what price range im getting myself into and what electronics to put in. im after about 20 to 30mph or more if possible, i have just basic skills in this feild. would anybody be willing to tell me what electronics to fit in a $650AUS price range?

    thanks

    Gday Taipan,
    to the forum,
What part of Aus are you in ????
I'm no expert but i'm guessing a 40 inch boat made out of 3mm ply will be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYyyyyyyyyyyy to heavy for a 700 size motor...You'll need something bigger with alot of torque to push a big arse prop...
If you want a big boat look at the fibreglass delta force 29.5 inch.. it will run on a 700 size motor and 12 cells nicely and you should still beable to set it up with in you price range...

    Hope this helps
