    Hydrofoil strut

When I was bored at work I made a new strut for my catarmaran it incorporates hydrofoil wings in the design to give lift at the back end and to level the boat out. The lift will hopefully level the boat out and stop the porpoising without putting to much depth and angle on the strut. The strut was cut out of a solid block of aluminium then hardened ond polished, I have'nt tested it yet but it will be interesting to see how it performs?

the suspense is killing me........ well?...... we're waiting... Is your employer hiring? I would like to make one while bored at work as well, but, I'd have a hard time making one like that if it was my job to make those!
looks really good. can't wait to hear the results

I tested the strut on my sprintcat and it was still lifting at the front, it didn't make any difference at all but it didn't slow the boat down. I can't believe how much bow lift this boat has I even had the strut at about 1inch below sponsons and still no difference. Maybe oneday I will rebuild my UL-1 and throw it on that, it might do well on a hydro?
