ML Boatworks New Sport 20L (Long version, 33.5") Hydroplane for FE or nitro

    GP335- 33.5" sport 20L

    GP400- 39" sport 40

Well, the first kits arrived today for the ML Boatworks Sport 20L 33.5" full P sport hydroplane. I quickly framed one up as I just had to see how it looked compared to the Sport 20 31" version for P-limited applications. This thing is going to be awesome! As you can see, it has a wider stance, its longer, and it engulfs the Neu 1512 motor I layed in it. As you can see, (2) Hyperion, 4s, 35c, 5000mah packs sit easily inside. It has a 5" engine well, with plenty of space under each side deck. Uses the same cowling as the sport 20. It also has the built in Steering Servo Frame so no extra servo bracket is needed. Should be awesome out on the water! I will be quickly getting this one ready for its first run! Enjoy the pics. I did side by side comparisons, 20L vs. 20 in the pics. Enjoy, Mike www.ml-boatworks.com

And as you can see, both hulls use the same cowling. The soon to be ready Sport 40 also uses the same cowling!

Mike, what are you using to glue these together at the frame joints?? Is it CA??

Just wondering how you are able to get them together so quickly and so nicely, because, well... I want to be able to do that too!

                        Look GREAT!

Hey Darin, its CA. I put just enough to hold the framework, then I thin out west systems epoxy enough that it will flow up underneath the joining frames. That is what creates the permanent bond. Im not sure what else could be used to hold things fast do you? Mike

More done, and as you can see the first 20L and 40 hulls are rolling off the assembly line. I hope to have them both in the water in the next couple weeks! Enjoy, Mike
