Filmed after work by myself Filmed by holding the camera and throttling with my left hand, steering with right..............not easy to do, looks like I'm drunk. Couldnt really hold a steady course in my wake path.................ended up doing a bunch of figure 8's.

When i get a vid man it'll be ran with my usual long straights and big sweeping turns.

I may have hit top speed but not sure.............one thing is, its got plenty of on demand power as can be seen with a blip of the throttle at 1:06

Watch the whole minute and a half to get the several good long passes i managed

Thanks srislash, I opted for a big ol' 457 in leiu of the x452/3. There is a pretty good size torque steer effect i was fighting as well with such a large diameter blade on a 8" wide boat..............

          I need pitch!!

          Hmmmm, s240, s245....................X648 is a bit small..............wish there was an x650/652.

          What about a 2016-10-50? http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...c-20-clvr-2bld

That might do it for you.I've recently been trying the "cleavers".I'm really liking the 4518's on my twin.I have a couple of ABC's to work on and some more to come.

Well................... my idea didnt pan out. The 5692 on 8s is too much weight and not enough rpm's...............SO, this is complete craziness to do, but I yanked the motor from my best running boat ever................my beloved "Vader" Mount gone too.............

The Racemaster is too narrow to spin the large prop needed for decent speed on only 30k rpm's, and is a handful with horrible torque roll................... I went as large as an x457 to try to utilize the huge power but no go............

Now the Racemaster is a 6s2p 1717 "S" mono, spinning an x448...........we'll see tomorrow how this pans out and I'm leaning toward it working very well.

The 5692 mount is in there forever the way i mounted it, so the 1717 has been mounted up to it and fits just fine. I transferred over the 200a 6s Swordfish as well as the four 3s 5000 batts....................basically all the innards from Vader are in This hull now.

Dont fear though!! Vader now gets all the innards from the Racemaster...................a double transplant. It will run on 8s2p and spin an x457. I have an 8s 300a "New version" ESC on the way from fightercat along with a new mount. The 39" Vader hull is much wider and will handle the large prop way better than the thin MHZ ever could. The stingers/drives are swapped as well............

So.................there ya have it................poor Vader is totally empty now...................man, i hope i didnt screw up a 60 mph boat that rides like a dream.

Pic's of the 1717 on a 5692 mount and a couple more of some new graphics.

Hey !! I like it. I see what you mean about skinny in pic 1. I still have a Fightercat 1717 motor mount should you ever get in a pinch or decide to do another swap again.

So did you run the BIG SHOCKWAVE Yet ?
Vader is going to be a beast with that setup,
I hope it rides on the edge like before.

You talkin about the big Dumas Cig boat? If so, no, but I'm pretty much deciding on a Leopard 5698 810kv on 8s2p. The stringers are setup perfect to bolt one right in to the existing driveline.

Ya'll notice how short my 1717 wires are? Lopped like 8" off of them!! Saving precious amps and getting rid of the extra heat!!

I just remembered this handy conversion tool - http://www.towerhobbies.com/help/convcalcs.html

It now weighs 11.4 lbs or 5.17 Kg. so its down 1.4 lbs from where it was, although I'm now running four 3s 5000's, whereas I was running four 4s 4000's...................I think the big 3s batts weigh a hair more each.
