The first 6 runs were with the outrunners and I never got a pass in because the boat aired out and flipped everytime as you saw in one of the videos Tony posted. I believe I could have got the boat in the 90s with the little outrunners but one of the retaining clips broke and I couldn't run them any more. I put the leopards in because they were offered to me and an air dam and got two 94 mph runs to set the first record. I then swapped out to the Neu 1527 1ds to set the 102 mph run. These motors were ( again ) offered to me so I didn't refuse them. The new record is a little soft still and I want to try FC new 4092 motors to see if I can raise the barr using a lot less expensive option just to show people what these motors are capaple of.
    Fastfish,
You have to get the hardware on the back first. Then you insert the shafts and try to line the motor mount with the motor on it and line it up the best you can. You will probably have to put some funny bends in the stuffing tube ( I did ) to get it perfect the rest of the way. Once you get it were you want it then I mix up some epoxy with microballons and set the mounts into that. Then I cut some carbon or fiberglass and layer it over that and let it all cure. Im sure there's other ways to do this. Thats just how I did this boat.

Thanks Mark! That helps out a lot. I wasn't sure if there was some kind of special alignment jig.

Looks good, do you have any air dam under the hull? And what where you using for timing equipment? Just curious about the equipment, I'm working on setting some equipment this summer for playing with set ups and getting a consistent speed reading.

The wiper blade idea is a clean, durable, perfect solution. Thanks for that. Kind of like the aerolastic winglets in the front intake of the Ferrari 458 Italia. Funny thing is that I recently replaced the rear wiper on my car and flipped the old blade in the trunk thinking that one day I'll find a use for it. Just found the use !

I had to improvise at the lake and taped some silicone tubing (with a lead tire weight ) on the Drifter bottom and one on top (mocked up in the photo). Mark did the same. Got results

Yep, water line tubing and hatch tape. Top and bottom. Timming gear is owned by local club. I'm not sure what it is.
