    Question about rudder

    Hey

i just picked up a 35" deep vee

powered by a Go Tech .25 for right now
I'll be replacing it with the OS .46 in the future

The rudder needs to be replaced, the one that came on the boat is just, very low in quality and it is very flimsy.

What i was wondering is, Will the Speedmaster dual pick up rudder be to big for my boat?

I see that it is listed for 45" or larger boats.
but i would like more then 2"s of set back.

or should i just use the mini rudder with the 2"s of set back?

Here's the stock hardware on the boat-

my rudder is actually closer to the trim tabs then what it is in the picture.
close as in less the 1/4" close

Thanks if you can help or give me some advice

Yes it will be way to big for a 35 inch hull. This is a monster piece of hardware. I have bought one. The 5.25 rudder would be perfect.

one can always use a piece or two of 1/4" ply betwixt the bracket and transom if one wishes to move the rudder aft.
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in
