the whole driveine is not setup yet.
I don't know if the flooded tube really matters, it's gonna be a pretty well straight shot into the strut and I only have about 1/4" of adjustment either way, i think it should survive, if not, I have another 3 feet of tube to make longer ones.

all that's left is the driveline and the battery trays.
i'm off to dez's paint shop on saturday to get an estimate and then to the LHS to pickup the tubing.

Just looking at some of your pics earlier in the thread...Your trim tab brackets are upside down.

Also, did you thourghly clean the area where you epoxied the motor mont to the hull to remove any left over releasing agent? Did you then scuff up the area of the hull with some really course sandpaper to help with the strength of the joint. Those outrunners have a lot of torgue can easily break a epoxy joint.

did not do that, i probably should have but the bond feels really strong, there's no way I can take it out now.
on other builds i have seen the brackets like that, I originally had them the other way but i switched them after seeing other pictures.

In the one transom shot it looks like your strut isn't vertical, is it the camera angle?
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

yeah, i mentioned it in the post if you missed it, the strut is vertical to the eye, I don't know if it's perfect, but as long as the driveline lines up perfection shouldn't be a huge deal.

i didn't paint it, i got a shop to do it for me
i'll flip the brackets when i put them on, but i remember seeing on the OSE product page of them being that way, that or i googled an image because i didn't know, someone out there has the same problem.

the trim tab bracket and the rudder bracket collided, so i filed a little slot in the rudder bracket (being soft, lower quality aluminum) for it to fit
I did a float test and weigh in yesterday and it comes in at ~6.5lbs and the cg is adjustable from 29% (it's a push but it's doable) all the way up to an unreasonable amount that I didn't measure, probably around 40%.
there was a small leak underneath the flooded stuffing tube so I mixed up a glob of 5 min epoxy and put it in and leaned the boat backwards, then i put a hair dryer to it for a few seconds and it flowed into the spot perfectly, it was not accessible with a toothpick or any other application tool.
for those going into wire drives, i am using 5/32" tube the whole way, with a 2" or so gap between the 3/16 rubber terminal cap with a hole (http://fightercatracing.com/index.ph...emart&Itemid=1) and the motor.
I will post a picture of exactly what I did in a minute when I get it drawn up.

complicated, but here's how my stuffing tube works.

Nice build. Looking forward to see how it runs for you. If I might make a few suggestions for your future builds. When mocking up your hulls for hardware, use masking tape to tape the area where you will mount your hardware. Then this allows you to use a pencil to mark your holes and lines. If you make a mistake you can erase and start over until it is perfect. When you are ready to drill use a small bit to start your hole this will prevent skating of the bigger bit. Or you can also get drill bits that have a starter point which also prevents skating. The tape will also aid you in preventing the fiberglass or gel coat from chipping.

i made marks with a hobby knife and it prevented them from moving around.
I'll definitely use the tape idea on my next build, thanks.

Soon my friend, soon. But that is not my biggest problem.... My issue is that 3 of my ESC's are at Castle Creation since last October for a recall and they still can't tell me when I'll be getting them back.
