Sorry, Duc... but you are trying to pick a fight, and I'm not buying into it... Sorry, but I simply don't commit to memory every single measurement I've ever taken. Give it a rest...

        No sir. Not at all!

I thought you were just being crass like when you asked for the measurements of the stealth on page one, having known them already?

        Have a good day all.

I see... Actually... I was asking because I was trying to gather ALL of the measurements from the latest Sport 20 sized boats, because I was working on something for myself, and wanted to know how other boats were being layed out. I asked Mike about his new ML Boatworks boat as well... I just did it via e-mail. I simply wanted to see how what I was laying out compared.

Why mess with the ride characteristics of the boat, when u could add a quarter inch to each side of the transom which isn't a ride surface and you won't affect the performance of the boat?

Really?? If I had KNOWN the measurements, I wouldn't have asked here. It was a simple question, asked for the purpose of obtaining the simple answer. If that's being "crass", then I'm sorry. Most would just consider it trying to get an answer...

As I stated above, I'm about to build one as well. I, however, do my research prior to embarking on a project, because I want to be 100% legal. Sorry if I'm observent!

As I also stated above, I, too, think it's a STUPID rule. I thought it when they drafted it, and I still feel that way today. However, the fix is likely simple, and I will be happy to do a write-up once I have a boat here (next week) to work on. If you spent 3-months building it, I fail to see how spending another hour or two to make it fit the class is going to be that big of a deal.

Phil is a Nitro guy, and I think may be in the IMPBA. He may not have known about the transom rule. Either way, it's going to be a great boat that simply needs a little tweak to fit the class rules. Big deal...
You're right Darin. You asking the question about measurements was not crass. The above post to the gentleman from MI who is a new racer who happens to have a Stealth Sport Hydro was crass.

This problem actually stems for the fact that the FE world decided that we needed different hull rules from nitro.

I have no idea what the dimensions are on the FE 30. I believe the question was asked when it first came out and it was legal (narrower ride pads if I remember correctly). I know our FE director races one, I assume he's measured it.
                          For the record :

                          FE30 distance between sponsons : 9.00"
                          shortest transom measurement : 6.25"

                          6.25 / 9.00 = 69.44 %

Here is an actual unretouched photo of my NAMBA rulebook with the 65% rule highlighted that I showed to Jeff during the design stage of the FE30

Yeah, that silly looking windshield you painted on the rear wing mount of your boat at the 2007 SAWS was a stretch . You did take my record fair and square 'tho, but ooh these grapes are sour

Did you read his post to me??? Whatever.... I'm sorry to have even brought it up. Maybe it would have been better to just let everyone else figure it out at the Nats or ???

Enough... I'll correct my boat and go enjoy it. If you guys want to give up, that's your choice to make.
